The Faces of New York City: SoHo

DSC00335

Living in a city of 8 million means that there are many faces, people, and stories that will never be known to us. What we do as a result is to try and capture these faces and create the stories about them ourselves whenever we look back at them. The beauty in this is that every story can be different every time, especially seeing that the chances of running into these faces again are slim to none. The beauty of New York City is that most people are too focused on their own lives and on heading in their own directions that they don’t even know they’re being photographed, affecting the nature of the snapshot itself — it’s more natural and no longer contrived nor posed. Here are some photos taken in SoHo during the early frigid winter in a new series we’d like to share: The Faces of New York City.
